Refunds & Dispute

At Canadian Ghostwriters, we aim to provide every client with a smooth, professional, and transparent service experience. Since our work involves creative planning, writing, editing, research, design, formatting, publishing support, and dedicated team time, refund requests are reviewed carefully based on the stage of the project and the work already completed.

This Refunds & Dispute Policy explains how refund requests are handled, when a refund may or may not apply, and how clients can raise a concern about their project.

Steps To File A Refund Dispute

If you believe there is an issue with your project or service, please follow the steps below to submit a refund or dispute request.

  1. Contact Our Support Team :
Reach out to Canadian Ghostwriters through our official email, phone number, contact form, WhatsApp, or any approved communication channel listed on our website.

  2. Share Your Project Details :
Provide your full name, email address, phone number, project name, service purchased, and order or invoice details if available.

  3. Select The Reason For Your Dispute :
Clearly mention the reason for your refund or dispute request. This may include delivery concerns, revision concerns, service mismatch, project delay, or any other issue related to the agreed service.

  4. Explain The Issue In Detail :
Give as much detail as possible about what went wrong. Include screenshots, emails, drafts, files, or previous communication if they help explain your concern.

  5. Allow Our Team To Review The Project :
Our team will review the project scope, service agreement, payment record, completed work, revision history, client approvals, communication record, and current project status.

  6. Review The Resolution Offered :
Canadian Ghostwriters may offer a revision, correction, partial refund, service credit, project continuation plan, or another reasonable solution depending on the situation.

  7. Receive A Final Decision :
Once the review is complete, our team will share the final decision through an official communication channel. If a refund is approved, it will be processed according to the original payment method or the available payment provider process.

Note: Canadian Ghostwriters reserves the right to accept, reject, pause, or cancel any project if company policies are violated, communication becomes abusive or misleading, payment terms are not followed, or the project is no longer suitable for continuation. After a refund is issued, the client will not have the right to use any drafts, outlines, manuscripts, designs, publishing materials, or creative concepts created by Canadian Ghostwriters for the refunded project. All refunded work remains the property of Canadian Ghostwriters unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Conditions For Refund

Refund requests are reviewed based on the nature of the service, the project stage, completed work, and the reason for the request. A refund may not be approved under the following conditions:

  1. The client has approved the project brief, outline, writing direction, design concept, publishing plan, or service scope.

  2. The writing, editing, designing, formatting, publishing, printing, marketing, or consultation work has already started.

  3. The client has approved a manuscript section, chapter, book cover, illustration, author website design, formatting sample, or publishing file.

  4. The cancellation is requested for reasons not related to Canadian Ghostwriters’ service quality.

  5. The client changes their mind after the project has started.

  6. The client’s business, book idea, personal plan, or publishing goal changes after placing the order.

  7. The client no longer wants to continue due to personal reasons, partner disagreement, budget changes, or external decisions.

  8. The client does not provide the required files, notes, manuscript material, references, approvals, or feedback on time.

  9. The client requests a complete change of topic, genre, storyline, tone, structure, design direction, or project scope after work has started.

  10. The client approaches another writer, editor, designer, publisher, or agency for the same project during the active project period.

  11. The client violates Canadian Ghostwriters’ policies, communication standards, payment terms, or project agreement.

  12. The refund request is made after the allowed review or refund request period.

  13. The final files have already been delivered to the client.

  14. The client has approved the final manuscript, design, formatting, publishing files, marketing material, or any completed deliverable.

  15. The service includes third-party costs such as domain registration, hosting, book printing, publishing platform fees, paid PR submissions, marketing campaigns, stock assets, ISBN-related costs, paid tools, or external vendor charges.

  16. The service was offered for free, as a bonus, discount, promotional add-on, or complimentary inclusion.

  17. For bundled services, if the client is dissatisfied with one part of the bundle, any eligible refund will apply only to that specific service and not the entire package.

  18. Refunds are not available for completed consultations, strategy calls, research work, planning sessions, manuscript reviews, book audits, publishing guidance, or any service where professional time has already been provided.

Non-Refundable Services

Some services may be non-refundable once started because they involve immediate professional time, third-party costs, or custom creative work.

These may include:

  • Ghostwriting drafts and manuscript development
  • Editing and proofreading work already completed
  • Book formatting and layout preparation
  • Book cover design concepts and revisions
  • Illustration concepts and completed artwork
  • Author website design or development work
  • Self-publishing setup and platform preparation
  • Book printing coordination or vendor-related charges
  • PR publication and media submission services
  • Professional book review services
  • eBook social media marketing campaigns
  • Research, consultation, and strategy sessions
  • Domain, hosting, platform, or third-party tool fees

Canadian Ghostwriters will always review the matter fairly, but completed work, approved work, and third-party costs are generally not refundable.

Revision Before Refund

Before a refund is considered, Canadian Ghostwriters may offer revisions or corrections if the issue can be resolved within the agreed project scope.
Our goal is to fix concerns professionally and complete the project in the best possible way. If the client’s concern is related to tone, flow, formatting, structure, design adjustment, grammar, or clarity, our team may request detailed feedback and provide revisions according to the selected package.
A refund will not be used as a replacement for revisions if the issue can reasonably be corrected through the revision process.

Dispute Review Process

When a dispute is submitted, Canadian Ghostwriters will review the case carefully and fairly.

The review may include:

  • Original project agreement
  • Selected package or service
  • Client brief and provided instructions
  • Payment record
  • Drafts, files, and completed work
  • Revision requests
  • Approval history
  • Communication record
  • Project timeline
  • Any delays caused by either party

After reviewing the information, Canadian ghostwriters may offer one of the following resolutions:

  • Revision or correction
  • Partial refund
  • Service credit
  • Project continuation with updated instructions
  • Cancellation without refund
  • Full refund, only if the case qualifies

The final decision will be based on the project status, work completed, company policy, and the client’s reason for dispute.

Refund Processing

If a refund is approved, the processing time may depend on the payment method, bank, card provider, or third-party payment processor.
Canadian Ghostwriters is not responsible for delays caused by banks, payment processors, currency conversion, transaction fees, or payment provider policies.
Any transaction charges, processing fees, or third-party fees may be deducted from the refunded amount where applicable.

Client Responsibility

To avoid delays, confusion, or disputes, clients are responsible for providing complete and accurate project information before the work begins.

Clients should provide:

  • Clear project goals
  • Correct contact details
  • Required manuscript files or notes
  • Writing style preferences
  • Book genre and target audience
  • Reference materials, if needed
  • Timely feedback and approvals
  • Honest communication about expectations
  • Payment according to the agreed schedule

Canadian ghostwriters cannot be responsible for issues caused by missing information, delayed responses, unclear instructions, or changes made after the work has started.
