Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions explain how Canadian Ghostwriters provides its writing, editing, publishing, design, marketing, and author support services. By using our website, contacting our team, requesting a quote, booking a consultation, or purchasing any service from Canadian Ghostwriters, you agree to follow the terms mentioned below.
Our goal is to keep every project clear, professional, and fair for both the client and our team. Please read these terms carefully before starting a project with us.

Legal Contract Binding

When a client purchases a service from Canadian Ghostwriters, they enter into a working agreement with our company. This agreement may include the selected service package, payment terms, project scope, timelines, revision limits, communication process, and final deliverables.

By confirming a project, making a payment, or approving a service proposal, the client agrees that Canadian Ghostwriters will begin work based on the information, brief, files, notes, and instructions provided by the client.

The client is responsible for providing accurate project details, including book genre, subject matter, target audience, writing style, references, manuscript files, publishing goals, and any other material required to complete the project.

Canadian Ghostwriters is not responsible for delays, quality issues, or delivery interruptions caused by missing information, late responses, unclear instructions, incomplete files, or changes requested outside the agreed scope.

If a client requests additional work that was not included in the original package, the additional service may be quoted and charged separately.

Revision Policy

Canadian Ghostwriters offers revisions according to the selected package, service type, and project agreement. Revisions are provided to improve the quality, clarity, structure, grammar, formatting, design, or presentation of the work based on the original approved brief.

Our revision policy is designed to make sure the final work reflects the client’s goals while keeping the project process organized.

Revisions may include:

  • Improving sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and flow
  • Adjusting tone, style, or chapter structure
  • Refining book formatting or layout
  • Making design adjustments to covers, illustrations, or author branding assets
  • Updating manuscript sections based on agreed feedback
  • Correcting errors or inconsistencies found during review

Revisions do not include a complete change of concept, genre, topic, storyline, writing direction, project scope, or service type unless agreed separately.

Any major change requested after approval of the draft, concept, manuscript section, design direction, or final file may be treated as a new order and charged separately.

Clients are encouraged to review all drafts and files carefully and share clear feedback within the given review period.

Payment Security

Canadian ghostwriters may use trusted third-party payment processors, invoices, or approved payment methods to collect project payments. Clients are responsible for making payments according to the agreed payment schedule.

Payments may be required upfront, in milestones, or in full, depending on the service package and project size.

Canadian Ghostwriters does not intentionally store full credit card information on its website. Payment information submitted through third-party processors is handled according to their own security standards and privacy policies.

Work may begin only after the required payment, deposit, or milestone amount has been received.

Refund Policy

Canadian Ghostwriters aims to deliver professional, high-quality service. However, because our services involve time, research, writing, editing, creative development, design work, publishing preparation, and team resources, refunds are subject to the conditions below.

A refund may not be applicable if:

  • The client has approved the initial brief, outline, concept, manuscript draft, design concept, or project direction.
  • The client has requested revisions or continued work after reviewing the draft
  • The project has already entered the writing, editing, design, publishing, printing, or marketing stage
  • The client changes their mind after the work has started
  • The client no longer wants the service due to reasons unrelated to Canadian Ghostwriters
  • The client fails to provide the required information, feedback, files, approvals, or responses
  • The client asks for a complete change in project scope, genre, style, concept, or direction
  • The client has approached another writer, editor, designer, publisher, or agency for the same project
  • The refund request is made after final delivery or approval of work
  • The client violates company policies, communication guidelines, or project terms
  • The service includes non-refundable third-party costs, such as publishing fees, printing charges, domain registration, hosting, paid tools, PR placements, marketing campaigns, or platform charges

For bundled services, if a client is dissatisfied with one specific service, any eligible refund will apply only to that specific service and not the full bundle.

Once final files are delivered and approved, refunds will not be processed.

Canadian Ghostwriters reserves the right to approve, reject, or offer a partial refund after reviewing the project status, completed work, client communication, and service agreement.

Claim Your Refund

To request a refund, the client must contact Canadian Ghostwriters through an official communication channel.

A refund request should include:

  • Full name
  • Email address used for the project
  • Project name or service purchased
  • Reason for requesting a refund
  • Any supporting details or communication related to the concern

Once the refund request is received, our team will review the project status, completed work, revision history, approval records, and payment details.

If the refund is approved, it will be processed according to the payment method and timeline available through the payment provider.

After a refund is issued, the client may no longer have the right to use any drafts, concepts, manuscripts, designs, files, outlines, or creative materials created by Canadian Ghostwriters for that refunded project.

Quality Assurance Policy

Canadian Ghostwriters follows a structured quality process to deliver work that is polished, clear, and professionally prepared.

Depending on the service, our quality checks may include the following:

  • Reviewing the client brief and project goals
  • Researching the subject or genre
  • Structuring the content before writing
  • Editing for grammar, clarity, tone, and flow
  • Checking manuscript consistency
  • Reviewing formatting and file presentation
  • Improving readability and audience connection
  • Making sure the work follows the approved direction

We make every reasonable effort to deliver work that meets the client’s expectations, but the final result also depends on the clarity of the client’s brief, timely feedback, and the client’s approval during each stage.

Satisfaction Guarantee

Our goal is to provide a smooth and professional experience from consultation to final delivery.

Canadian Ghostwriters works with clients through planning, drafting, revision, and final review to make sure the work is aligned with the approved project direction.

We are committed to:

  • Understanding your story, idea, or publishing goal
  • Writing in a clear and engaging way
  • Protecting your confidentiality
  • Providing professional communication
  • Offering revisions as included in your package
  • Delivering files according to the agreed scope

A satisfaction guarantee does not mean unlimited changes beyond the original project scope. Revisions and improvements will be provided according to the package, agreement, and approved brief.

Delivery Policy

Project delivery timelines depend on the service type, word count, manuscript length, complexity, research needs, design requirements, publishing process, and client response time.

Delivery timelines are discussed before the project begins and may be included in the project agreement or order confirmation.

Canadian Ghostwriters will deliver completed work through the agreed communication method, such as email, client portal, file-sharing link, or another official channel.

Delivery may be delayed if:

  • The client does not provide the required information on time.
  • The client delays feedback or approval.
  • The project scope changes during the process.
  • Additional research, writing, editing, or design work is requested.
  • Third-party platforms, publishing services, printers, or payment providers cause delays.
  • Unexpected technical issues occur

Urgent delivery may be available for selected services and may require additional charges.

Record Maintenance

Canadian ghostwriters may keep records of project files, communication, invoices, drafts, approvals, and final deliverables for internal reference, quality control, legal, billing, or client support purposes.

If a client loses a delivered file and requests another copy, we may provide the file if it is still available in our records. File recovery, old project reactivation, or additional file preparation may require extra charges.

Canadian Ghostwriters is not required to store project files permanently. Clients are responsible for downloading, saving, and backing up their final files after delivery.

Copyright and Ownership

For ghostwriting, editing, and manuscript services, the client owns the final approved content after full payment has been completed, unless a different agreement is made in writing.

For design, illustration, branding, formatting, publishing, or marketing materials, ownership terms may depend on the selected package, licensing, third-party assets, stock materials, fonts, platform rules, or project agreement.

Canadian ghostwriters may retain ownership of unused concepts, rejected drafts, internal notes, working files, research files, editable source files, and creative directions that were not included in the final approved delivery.

The client is responsible for making sure that any material they provide to Canadian Ghostwriters does not violate copyright, trademark, privacy rights, or intellectual property rights of another person or company.

Canadian Ghostwriters is not responsible for legal claims resulting from client-provided content, copied material, copyrighted references, false information, defamatory claims, or unauthorized use of third-party materials.

Client Responsibilities

To help us complete the project professionally, the client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information and clear instructions.
  • Share required files, notes, references, and feedback on time.
  • Review drafts and deliverables carefully.
  • Approve or request revisions within the given review period.
  • Make payments according to the agreed schedule.
  • Avoid submitting copyrighted, false, illegal, harmful, or misleading content.
  • Communicate through official company channels.
  • Respect the agreed-upon project scope and timeline.

If the client fails to respond for an extended period, Canadian Ghostwriters may pause the project. Reactivation charges may apply if the project remains inactive for a long time.
